Writing Coaching
Starting writing coaching is a commitment to yourself and your writing. Our coaching services are grounded in entwining empowerment and accessibility with accountability, craft, and community. Together, we will bring the story that you have always wanted to tell to the next stage so that you can share it with the world.
We are queer, neurodivergent writers who are looking to make writing and finishing stories with professional support within the reach of all who want it. By making the best parts of an MFA program available for a fraction of the cost in a more flexible format, our program is truly guided by you and your goals.
Whatever that end goal is – if you are just starting a story, struggling to finish one, or approaching the editing and querying process – we are ready to meet you where you are to support and propel you toward it.
Our coaching services are right for you if:
- You get bogged down by process and want to find better methods
- You are ready to make writing a priority after struggling to balance it with day-to-day life
- You care about integrating concepts of diversity and inclusion into your writing
- You have found you work best with external accountability to reach your goals
- You want to connect with other writers
- You aim to improve your craft
- You plan to commit to your writing
- You need another set of eyes to figure out the “what’s next?” in your story
Check off any or all bullet points? Reach out to us and we will work with you to decide which of our two plans will work best for you. And if you need some combination of the two? We’re happy to collaborate!

- Advice for adapting writing to different audiences.
- Confidence that your work is accessible.
- Comments akin to what you would receive from an editor on publications.
- A wide range of skills and knowledge from working in higher education.

It’s not easy to put our work out there or submit the paper we’ve been working on for months, years even. Having a second set of eyes to ensure you are putting your best work forward is important, and as your editor, I will do everything I can to ensure you’re confident in the quality of your work.
